Our Fall CSA

We have had to suspend operations due to a fire which devastated our ability to harvest and package vegetables. Please check back in the spring, or look to one of the other fine CSAs in the Roanoke area.

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a partnership between a farmer and the local community. Community members support the farm directly for an entire season and in return receive a share in the weekly harvest. We try to make it as easy as possible for folks, so we have 3 short seasons, instead of 1 long one.  Each season, you pay us $100, and we give you a bag of fresh, delicious vegetables every week for 10 weeks.

Cost and Season Dates

The Fall 2018 CSA starts September 12 and runs through November 14. Sign up today, by clicking the e-mail below.

What's in the bag?

Each week's bag will contain a selection of crops from our greenhouses. The goodies change as the season progresses. To start with, we'll have summer vegetables:

  • tomatoes (red slicing tomatoes and colorful mixes of grape, cherry and small heirloom tomatoes)

  • sweet peppers (green bell peppers, red bell bell peppers, brightly colored lunchbox peppers, banana peppers)

  • basil

  • zucchini

  • eggplant

  • okra

  • ground cherries

  • tomatillos

Then as the temperatures drop and the cool weather crops come in, we'll start having:

  • lettuce

  • radishes

  • kale

  • chard
  • collards
  • scallions
  • beets

Plus our ever popular microgreens.

The idea is to have amounts small enough that one or two dedicated people could eat in a week. Eat more fresh, healthy, delicious food. You can do this!
